ministries

We have a great many opportunities for people of all ages to get involved at Crown of Glory.  Click on any of the links below to find out more about what we have to offer.

children

We have a vibrant and active Children's Ministry at Crown of Glory.  We enjoy the number of children involved and the dedication of supportive parents.  There is something for all age ranges in Sunday School, Connect, music ensembles, and the various activities that occur during the year.  Contact Laura with any questions. laura@crownofglory.org

youth

These ministries allow our middle and high school aged youth to continue to discovery their faith in relationship to their peers and the community around them.  We provide a solid confirmation program and opportunities for mission worship locally and around the country.

family

Crown of Glory is very much a family-friendly congregation.  We have many young families and children galore.  Therefore it is important that we offer tools which help what it means for parents and children to grow in relationship with each other and with God.

worship arts

The arts have always been an integral part of the worship experience.  It is an integral part of our lives as well.  For over 30 years, Crown of Glory has provided quality music to its congregation and the surrounding community.  Our ensembles involved the young and the young of heart.  Not only do their musical offerings help enhance worship, music is a great way to just be involved in the life of the church.

hospitality

We call this the first line of "offense" in our church.  Our hospitality ministry is truly one of the most important ministries in any church.  It is important that our members and vistors alike feel welcomed and comfortable from the time they enter our doors until they leave.  The hospitality ministry consists of ushers, greeters, communion assistants, kitchen help, and welcome center attendants waiting and willing to answer any questions you may have.

member care

Care for people at Crown of Glory comes from several directions.   Pastoral care in crisis or hospitalization is offered by our pastoral staff.  Contact a pastor or the church office to arrange.   Our public prayer list lifts those in need to the worship community and often results in caring contacts between participants at Crown of Glory.  While not systematic, it does provide comfort and support in many circumstances.  Our Caring Hands ministry is a response of persons who have specifically made themselves available to care, provide a ride or a meal, or to provide an hour or too of support care to home-bound persons.  Don't hesitate to let us know your circumstances or your willingness to help.  Together we are the hands of Christ to those in need.

spiritual growth

We believe that you never stop learning about the ministry of Jesus Christ and what it means in our lives today.  And so we have a number of opportunities for you to grow your faith individually and in relationship with one another.  Crown of Glory offers bible studies, men's and women's retreats and a number of other ways in which to connect with others.  Let's Talk provides faith conversations on many Monday evenings for anyone who cares to drop by.

mission

Crown of Glory has a long tradition of serving the Chaska community and other neighboring communities.  If you have a passion for service outside the walls of our church, then there are several ways in which you can be involved.

property

People are gifted in many different ways.  We rely on talented and trained people to help with the overall maintenance of our building.  If you have interest in swinging a hammer or changing a lightbulb among other projects, then there is a place for you on our property ministry team.

stewardship

The stewardship team's mission is to help people explore their reasons for giving and to invite participation in thanksgiving to God.  A significant effort is put into the annual stewardship emphasis in the fall of each year.  Giving at Crown of Glory is a response to the blessing that God has already supplied in the lives of God's children.

small groups

One of the best way to grow and connect with others is through small group ministries.  We have a number of fun ways in which to meet other people in a comfortable setting.  Table of Eight, Pub Ministry, Let's Talk,   Chronological Bible Study and Book Study Group are all examples of small-group ministry.

human resources

The human resources team provides sound policy and guidance to personnel and management of Crown of Glory.  It reviews and updates the employee handbook, reviews hiring practices and participates alongside management and staff in hiring or consultation around the hiring of staff.

The team reviews and decides on human resource matters if questions are not clear in our policy manuals or routine practices.

If you are interested in being involved on our H.R. team, please contact pastormatt@crownofglory.org.

building expansion team

Crown of Glory is currently in a process to discern the needs of a growing congregation who has outgrown their current facility.  Great progress has already been made and will continue to do so with the help of the Building Expansion Team, Council, Staff and input from the congregation.  Check back here often to see the latest updates.
